Jeonju is known for its markets and long-running local eateries, which makes it a great city to eat your way through on foot. This itinerary centers on places like Gaeksa-gil, Jeonju Nambu Market, Jeonju Dokkaebi Market, and every meal is a short walk from the stop before it.
From Incheon Airport it takes about 3 hr by AREX and KTX. Anything within about 20 minutes on foot, you walk.
You stay all 3 nights near Jeonju Hanok Village and start every day from the same place — no repacking.
Day 1: Gaeksa-gil, Jeonju Nambu Market, Jeonju Dokkaebi Market, Jeonju Jeondong Cathedral. Lunch at Jojeongrye Namun Pi Sundae, dinner at Jamae Galbi Jeongol.
Day 2: Gyodong Art Museum, Jeonju Fan Culture Museum, Jeonju Hanok Village, Jeonju Traditional Hanji Center, Omokdae and Imokdae Historic Sites. Lunch at Gyodong Tteok-galbi, dinner at Jeonju Waengi Kongnamul-gukbap Jeomun-jeom.
Day 3: Jeonju Culture Center, Jeonju Moraenae Market, Wujin Culture Space, Hwasan Seowon Stele, Cheonyang Jeong. Lunch at Gimpanswae Jeonju Usokdang Main Branch, dinner at Ondam Jeonju Main Branch.
Day 4: Jeonju Zoo (Dreamland), Deokjin Park, National Gugak Center. Lunch at Myeon Sikdang Jeonbuk National University Branch. Then head back to Incheon Airport.
Some market stalls close by late afternoon, so earlier is better. Go a little hungry and share small plates at several places.
